CBT is usually completed in one day and consists of training you to a safe standard of on-road riding at a ratio of 2:1. You'll start at our DVSA approved CBT training site at Beverley Leisure Centre where you will be issued protective clothing and introduced to your machine.

You'll be taught how to start, move off, change gear and stop safely. You will practice signalling and manoeuvring at your own pace until competent. After a full briefing you will be taken on the road and coached to a safe level of riding whilst being in constant radio contact with the instructor. A sound understanding of the Highway Code is important at this stage. When you have reached a proficient standard you will be awarded your CBT DL 196 certificate.

Helmet, Gloves and Armoured jacket will be supplied and it is advised that tough trousers such as denim jeans and sturdy footwear is worn. Motorcycle hire and Insurance is all included in the price.

The CBT is not a test but a continual assessment of your ability in all elements and it is our job to get you there. We are fully aware that learning a new skill can be daunting and that's why we promote a relaxed atmosphere for a much more effective learning environment.
